Global Women and Youth Campaign Against Hunger

The Global Women and Youth Campaign Against Hunger is a practical farming and food-production movement created to fight hunger, reduce poverty, and restore dignity among vulnerable women, girls, young people, families, and disadvantaged communities.

Our mission goes beyond giving food for today. We believe communities must be supported to grow food, produce food, sell food, and become self-reliant. Through farming, poultry, food processing, skills training, and community empowerment, we help people move from dependency to dignity and from hunger to hope.

This campaign supports practical food projects such as crop farming, poultry farming, livestock, vegetable production, cassava, rice, maize, fruit farming, fish farming, and other sustainable food initiatives. It also creates opportunities for women and young people to learn, work, earn, feed their families, and contribute to their local economy.

We believe that when women and young people are given land, tools, training, seeds, livestock, and the right support, they do not only feed themselves — they feed families, strengthen communities, and build a better future for nations.

Help Us Complete a 12,000 Birds Poultry Farm in Sierra Leone

Global Women Support Hub Initiative is working to complete a poultry farm project in Sierra Leone as part of our wider vision to fight hunger, reduce poverty and create sustainable livelihoods for women, young people and vulnerable families. This poultry farm is not just a building. It is a seed of hope. When completed, it will help provide food, create local jobs, support training, and generate income that can be reinvested into community development.

Our vision does not end in Sierra Leone. We endeavour to build similar food-production and skills-based projects in other countries where the need is greatest. We want our donors and partners to see the bigger picture: one poultry farm today can become a model of hope for many communities tomorrow.

What Inspired Us to Start GWSH?

Global Women Support Hub was born from faith, pain, compassion, and an unshakable vision to see women and girls rise again.

Our journey did not begin in comfort. It began in 2012 under The ROOT MHSF Community Interest, with a simple but powerful idea: to teach sewing and design as a pathway to dignity, confidence, independence, and hope. What started as a skill soon became more than training. It became a place where women who felt forgotten could rediscover their voice, rebuild their confidence, and dare to dream again.

Over the years, we have seen women rise from brokenness to brilliance. We have seen them learn new skills, start small businesses, support their families, serve their communities, and reclaim the worth that pain, poverty, abuse, isolation, or disappointment tried to take away.

But behind every success story, there has also been silent struggle: unpaid bills, rising rent, limited resources, and the daily battle to keep life-changing services alive without stable funding. Many times, the burden was heavy. Many times, the future looked uncertain. Yet we continued, because the vision was greater than the pain, and the lives being transformed reminded us why we could not give up.

GWSH was inspired by every woman who cried quietly but still showed up, every girl who needed someone to believe in her, every family lifted through one woman’s courage, and every community waiting for hope. We exist because no woman or girl should suffer in silence, live without support, or feel that her dreams have no place in the world. Our inspiration is simple: to turn pain into purpose, skills into freedom, and compassion into lasting change.
