3. TERMS AND CONDITIONS

By using this website, buying books, downloading e-books, donating, registering for events or contacting Global Women Support Hub, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

Global Women Support Hub is a community-focused initiative powered by The Root MHSF Community Interest Company. Our work includes books, education, fundraising, food support, women and youth empowerment, farming projects, community outreach and campaign activities.

All website content, including text, images, designs, book descriptions, campaign wording, videos, logos and downloadable materials, belongs to Global Women Support Hub, The Root MHSF Community Interest Company or the relevant copyright owner. You must not copy, reproduce, resell, edit, distribute or use our materials for commercial purposes without written permission.

Book purchases and donations are used to support our mission, programmes, administration, campaign costs, outreach, farming projects, community support, website running costs and related project expenses.

We aim to provide accurate information, but we do not guarantee that all website information will always be free from error. We reserve the right to correct mistakes, update prices, change campaign wording, update products, remove items, cancel orders where necessary, or refuse service where there is misuse, fraud, abuse, false information or payment failure.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order, donation, registration or request where we reasonably believe it may cause legal, financial, reputational, safeguarding or operational risk to the organisation.

Users must not misuse the website, attempt fraud, copy digital products, abuse staff, make false claims, interfere with payment systems, or use the website for unlawful purposes.

Nothing on this website should be treated as legal, medical, financial or professional advice. Any educational, faith-based, humanitarian or community material is provided for general support, inspiration and information.

4. REFUND AND RETURNS POLICY

We want supporters to buy and donate with confidence. At the same time, because our books and donations support community work, we must protect the organisation from misuse, false claims and unnecessary financial loss.

E-books and Digital Downloads:
All e-book sales are final once the download link, digital access, PDF, ePub or other digital file has been provided or accessed.

By purchasing an e-book and ticking the checkout confirmation box, you agree to receive immediate digital access and acknowledge that your cancellation right is lost once the digital content is supplied.

We do not offer refunds for e-books where:
The download link has been sent.
The file has been accessed.
The customer changed their mind.
The customer bought the wrong title.
The customer failed to read the description.
The customer expected a hardcopy but purchased an e-book.
The customer shared, copied or downloaded the product.

We may consider a replacement download link if there is a genuine technical problem and the customer contacts us within 7 days of purchase.

Hardcopy Books:
Where hardcopy books are available, customers may request cancellation within the legal cancellation period, provided the book has not been used, damaged, marked, copied, personalised or opened in a way that affects resale.

Customers are responsible for return postage unless the item is faulty or we sent the wrong item.

Refunds will only be processed after the returned item is received and inspected.

If books are sold as pre-orders, fundraising orders, limited campaign orders or special print orders, delivery may take longer. Where stated on the product page, delivery may take 8 to 12 weeks due to demand, printing, stock availability or campaign processing.

Donation Add-ons:
Where a customer adds a donation at checkout, the donation part is treated separately from the product purchase. Donation add-ons are non-refundable unless there was a clear administrative error, duplicate transaction or proven unauthorised payment.

Events, Campaigns and Fundraising Contributions:
Payments made for fundraising support, campaign contributions, sponsorship, community support, or project donations are generally non-refundable. This is because funds may be allocated quickly to project planning, administration, food support, farming activity, training, website costs or campaign delivery.

We reserve the right to refuse refund requests that appear abusive, dishonest, repeated, fraudulent, unfair to the organisation, or harmful to the campaign.

5. E-BOOK DOWNLOAD POLICY

Our e-books are digital products. When you buy an e-book, you are buying personal access to read the digital file. You are not buying copyright ownership.

You must not:
Share the e-book file with others.
Upload it online.
Sell it to another person.
Print and distribute copies without permission.
Copy large parts of the book.
Use it for commercial training without written approval.
Remove copyright information.
Claim the work as your own.

Each e-book is for the purchaser’s personal reading, study, education, reflection or approved organisational use.

If you are a school, college, university, church, mosque, charity, company, training provider or organisation and you want to use the book with a group, please contact us for permission or a group licence.

Download links may expire for security reasons. If your link expires before use, contact us within 7 days of purchase with your order number.

We are not responsible for loss caused by incorrect email addresses, failure to check spam folders, poor internet connection, incompatible devices, or unauthorised sharing by the customer.

6. SAFEGUARDING POLICY

Global Women Support Hub is committed to protecting children, young people, women, adults at risk, vulnerable communities, volunteers, staff, supporters and beneficiaries from harm, abuse, exploitation, neglect and mistreatment.

We believe every person deserves dignity, respect, safety and protection.

Our safeguarding principles are:
We will take concerns seriously.
We will listen respectfully.
We will act in the best interest of the person at risk.
We will not ignore abuse, exploitation or neglect.
We will report serious concerns to the appropriate authorities where required.
We will maintain confidentiality, except where disclosure is necessary to protect a person from harm or meet legal obligations.

All staff, volunteers, partners and representatives must behave respectfully and professionally. They must not abuse power, exploit vulnerable people, request inappropriate favours, misuse personal information, or place anyone at unnecessary risk.

Any safeguarding concern should be reported immediately to the organisation by email or through the official contact details on the website.

Where there is immediate danger, call emergency services.

We reserve the right to refuse service, remove volunteers, suspend participation, cancel partnerships, report matters to authorities, or take legal action where safeguarding concerns, abuse, misconduct or exploitation are identified.

7. DONATION POLICY

Donations to Global Women Support Hub support our mission, projects, campaigns, administration and community benefit work.

Donations may support:
Food support.
Women and youth empowerment.
Farming and poultry projects.
Seeds, tools and equipment.
Training and education.
Books and awareness campaigns.
Vulnerable families.
Community outreach.
Website, campaign and administration costs.
Project development and delivery.

Unless a donation campaign clearly states that funds are restricted to one specific purpose, donations may be used where the organisation decides the need is greatest.

We aim to use donations responsibly, but project needs, costs, exchange rates, supply issues, emergencies, delivery challenges and operational realities may change how funds are allocated.

Donations are generally non-refundable.

Refunds may only be considered where:
A clear duplicate payment was made.
A payment was taken in error.
There is evidence of unauthorised payment.
The organisation is legally required to return the funds.
The organisation decides that accepting the donation may create legal, ethical, safeguarding, reputational or operational risk.

We reserve the right to refuse or return donations where we believe the funds may be connected to fraud, crime, exploitation, reputational harm, conflict of interest, false representation, or conditions that are not in the best interest of the organisation.

A donor must not use a donation to control the organisation, demand personal benefit, force a project decision, influence safeguarding decisions, or create unfair pressure on staff, volunteers or beneficiaries.

Donation receipts may be issued where possible. Gift Aid will only apply if the organisation is registered and eligible to claim it. If Gift Aid is not available, donors should not claim or assume Gift Aid.

By donating, you confirm that the donation is voluntary, lawful, made from your own funds or with proper authority, and given in support of the mission of Global Women Support Hub.

8. COMPLAINTS POLICY

We aim to treat everyone with respect, fairness and professionalism.

If you have a complaint, please contact us by email with:
Your name.
Contact details.
Order or donation reference, if relevant.
Clear explanation of the complaint.
Any supporting evidence.

We will review complaints fairly and aim to respond within a reasonable time. Complex matters may take longer.

We will not accept abusive, threatening, discriminatory, dishonest or repeated unreasonable communication. We reserve the right to stop responding where communication becomes abusive, excessive, false, threatening or harmful to the organisation.
